San Jacinto Federated Music Clubs is a group of music teachers from the communities southeast of Houston, Texas. It was founded in 2007 when Geraldine Sharpley, Lois Howell, Phyllis Carr, and many other teachers from other local clubs decided to combine and make a smaller club to offer the students a more personal experience with performances. We named our club after the historic
Battle of San Jacinto of 1836. We have a maximum of 25 teacher members offering private lessons and classes in piano, voice, guitar, woodwinds, and many other instruments. Members are eligible to enter students into local and state festivals and competitions, and are also members of the Texas and National Federations of Music Clubs.
